the 5K Walk |
For
everyone's safety please note:
Dogs, bicycles, in-line
skates, skateboards, and scooters are not allowed
on the race course.
Strollers and "Baby
Jogger" strollers are OK |

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Strawberry Stampede is a non-profit fundraising event to
benefit youth activities in the South County. It is held on
Sunday of the Memorial Holiday Weekend, at the same time as
the Arroyo Grande Strawberry Festival. |

ELECTRONIC SCORING
This race features a state-of-the-art electronic scoring system. All
participants will receive an electronic scoring chip, which can be
attached to a shoelace (or other garment). Finish time and position
are automatically recorded electronically when you cross the finish
line. Scoring chips will be collected in the finish chute. |

ALL WALKERS PLEASE
NOTE
If you think that you might want to run, even just a little,
during the 5K Walk event, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE 5K
Run. We will have competitive walkers participating
in this event for time & place - if you are signed
up for the walk, and are seen running you will NOT BE SCORED
for this event. |

5K WALK COURSE
An out-and-back course of exactly 3.1 miles. Starts and finishes in
the Village of Arroyo Grande on Short Street behind the Swinging
Bridge and heads out Branch Mill Road to a turn around point just
past Coach Road. The course is relatively flat - a couple of slight
hills at about 1.2 miles and just past the turn around point. Water

1st place male and female 12 & under, 13-18, 19-49, 50 and over. |

PACKET PICKUP & RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Racers who are pre-registered can pick up their race numbers on race
morning beginning at 6:45AM at the start/finish area (adjacent to
the Village Green, corner of Short Street and Nelson). We will also
accept race day registrations from 6:45 until 7:50AM. Directions |
